Oculus Rift caused some controversy when it was initially funded initially through Kickstarter, only to be acquired by Facebook later on. The Rift is a virtual reality headset that allows players step inside their favorite games and virtual worlds. The Rift uses custom tracking technology to provide ultra-low latency 360° head tracking, allowing you to seamlessly look around the virtual world just as you would in the real world. Every subtle movement of your head is tracked in real time creating a natural and intuitive experience.

Oculus allows and encourages developers to build games and experiences for the consumer Oculus Rift. They design their products with developer feedback in mind, so that they can create the best hardware and software possible.

The Oculus Rift is currently available to Kickstarter backers and developers, but will be available for sale in 2016 on Windows.
