Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization and/or he/she or they/them, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.
Eligibility
Woofd® is not intended for children younger than 18 and is offered only to users 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18 years old, please do not use woofd.com. Any person who provides their personal information through woofd.com represents to us that they are 18 years of age or older. You hereby represent that you are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, representations and warranties set forth in these Terms.
Content Disclaimer
Although the administrators and moderators of Woofd® will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site, users are often allowed to publish posts, articles, comments immediately, without any initial moderation. Therefore, it is impossible for us to review all messages immediately. All topics and messages published on Woofd.com solely express the views and intent of their individual authors, and as such, neither the owner of Woofd® nor other team members or sponsors can be held responsible for the content posted or linked within any message.
Acceptable Content
Offensive, defamatory, and illegal material should not be posted. Any content will be removed as deemed necessary by the Editors or Moderators of this website.

By accessing this website you consent to these terms and conditions and to the exclusive jurisdiction of the American courts in all disputes arising out of such access. Acceptable Use
You may not harass or annoy other users, promote content that violates our policies, or transmit illegal or copyrighted material through this site or its servers. You agree that you will not post any messages that are excessively annoying, disruptive, obscene, hateful, inappropriate, sexually explicit, containing nudity, threatening to other members, or in violation of any laws. Our editors will subjectively decide if these rules have been violated, and our administrators will make all final decisions.
Use of Information
Our site’s comment system and store requires visitors to supply contact information, such as an e-mail address and social network links. We will not send you any unsolicited e-mail and will not give your e-mail address to any third-parties. The email address you provide will only be used to send updates about this site. You may opt out of any mailings.
Unsolicited Advertising
Articles, Comments and Community posts containing any unsolicited advertising or spam are not allowed and will be deleted as soon as possible. Members who post spam messages anywhere on the site or on any of our third-party platforms at any time will be banned immediately from posting, joining or registering for another membership at Woofd® or any third party accounts we manage. Contributors, however, are encouraged to link to their social network profiles and personal websites.
Ownership of Content
All credit is given to artists of artworks displayed on woofd.com, and links will be provided when possible. Contributors waive rights by submitting content, waiving any claims to ownership or exclusivity or revenue made directly through this site. However, Contributors and Members are encouraged to use this website as a platform to network and make revenue independently from this website. Editors and Moderators reserve the right to edit any article or topic for formatting and/or grammatical reasons, or any reason at all.
Guest and Contributing Bloggers
The following terms and conditions for Guest Bloggers, Contributing Bloggers, and any other Woofd® team members govern Your use of woofd.com (the “Site”) and any services made available to You by Woofd® (“woofd.com,” “We”, “Us,” “Pack,” “Team” and “Our”) on or through the Site (the “Services”) and any contributions You make to the Woofd.com Site (“Contributions”). For purposes of the Terms of Service, “You” and “Contributor” means the person using the Site or the Services or providing Contributions which are defined as but not limited to (“writing original content”, “writing or creating exclusive articles” and or “curating or creating non-exclusive digital images for publication on woofd.com”). If You are using the Site or Services or Contributing on behalf of Your company (or another entity), then “You” means Your company (or such other entity) and its officers, members, agents, successors and assigns.
Contributors may submit any number of original, exclusive articles and non-exclusive digital images for publication on woofd.com. In order to maintain an active status as a Woofd® Contributor, we suggest that you submit at least one article or photo per month. We reserve the right to reject any article for any reason.
You also agree to the following in conjunction with the standards and requirements set below:
- You irrevocably transfer and assign all rights to your articles.
- You will receive a promotional author byline in each article.
- You will not receive compensation for an article now or in the future unless otherwise agreed upon.
- You waive any claims to revenue made through this site.
- Any request by you to use the content from the article must be made to the editorial team in writing.
- You indemnify Woofd® and its owner from any potential legal liability/damage that may arise from your published articles.
- You are prohibited from benefiting financially from third party companies or individual people in exchange for writing articles for Woofd.com unless otherwise agreed upon. This includes but is not limited to companies’ or peoples’ products, services, apps or anything else they may ask you to write about or link to.
Contributor Agreement
This Contributor Agreement applies to all individuals who contribute content to Woofd® in any capacity, including but not limited to Contributing Bloggers, Guest Bloggers, Brand Ambassadors, and Pack Members. By submitting content to Woofd®, you agree to the following terms in addition to all other terms set forth in this document.
Intellectual Property License
While Contributors may retain certain moral rights in their work, by submitting any content to Woofd® — including but not limited to articles, photographs, videos, social media content, and profile materials — you grant Woofd® a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in any media format or channel, now known or hereafter developed, in connection with the operation and promotion of Woofd®. This license survives the termination of your contributor status. Woofd® will make reasonable efforts to provide attribution where appropriate, but is not obligated to do so in every instance.
Representations and Warranties
By submitting content to Woofd®, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original creator of the content submitted, or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit it for publication on Woofd.com.
- Your content does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, or any other rights of any third party.
- Where your content includes images, photographs, or videos of identifiable individuals, you have obtained all necessary model releases and have the legal right to publish such images on Woofd.com.
- Your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not contain false, misleading, defamatory, or illegal statements.
- You will not submit content that has been previously published under an exclusive arrangement with another publisher without appropriate clearance.
Brand Integrity
As a Contributor or Brand Ambassador of Woofd®, you agree to maintain the voice, quality, and standards of the Woofd® brand in all content submitted for publication on the site. Woofd® is a bold, authentic, and unapologetic platform dedicated to the gay male experience. All content must reflect this identity and adhere to the editorial guidelines communicated by the Woofd® editorial team.
Woofd® reserves the right to suspend or terminate your contributor profile status if, in our sole discretion, your submitted content or public conduct consistently fails to meet our brand standards, reflects negatively on Woofd® or the Pack, or violates any provision of these Terms of Service. Termination of contributor status does not affect the license granted to Woofd® over previously submitted content.
Donations & Contributor Payment Eligibility
Donations are made on a Pledge basis through Liberapay. Team Members are only eligible to receive payouts from donations if they contribute regularly and have connected their Liberapay account to our Team page. Copyright Notice
The content featured at Woofd.com is either for promotional purposes only or is licensed under Creative Commons; no copyright infringement is intended. If your content has been included and you would like it to be removed, please use the Contact page.
The Woofd® logo uses a modified vector from VectorPortal, who grants us non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use and modify its images which carry “for commercial use” license in website templates, print media, product media, digital packaging, advertising collateral, books, CD, DVD labels and covers, letterhead, business cards and labels, newspaper and magazine articles, mobile applications, email marketing and other design projects in unlimited quantity.
Posting of Copyrighted or Plagiarized Material
Any material found to infringe on anyone else’s right will be removed post haste. If you have a copyright infringement claim, please use our Contact page. If you are involved in any copyright infringement claim, Woofd.com reserves the right to relinquish any information requested to protect its own interests.
Comments and Community posts containing links to unlicensed downloads of copyrighted material, including but not limited to recorded audio, photographs, and video, are not allowed because of legal issues and will be deleted as soon as possible. It is also prohibited to discuss file sharing of copyrighted material or post offers to trade unlicensed files through other means. Any attempts to circumvent this rule in any way will not be tolerated, and users who consistently do so will be banned from posting any further messages. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Children’s Guidelines
We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to use woofd.com. We do not collect or use any online contact information or identifiable off-line contact information about a child (any individual under 18 years of age) without parental consent. We do not distribute personally identifiable information about children without parental consent. We do not give children the ability to post or distribute personal information without prior consent. We do not entice children with games or contests that would encourage them to disclose personal information. Anyone under the age of 18 may not register for an account, and will have their account suspended if they register under any false pretense.
Community Guidelines

Community Standards
The Woofd® Community is a Facebook Group hosted by Facebook and owned by Meta. Facebook takes their role in keeping abuse off their service seriously. That’s why they have developed a set of Community Standards that outline what is and is not allowed on Facebook. Their Standards apply around the world to all types of content. They’re designed to be comprehensive — for example, content that might not be considered hate speech may still be removed for violating bullying policies. Contributor Data Processing
In connection with your role as a Contributor, Woofd® collects and stores certain personal data about you for the purpose of operating and promoting the site. This may include your name or display name, biographical information, social media handles and profile links, profile photographs, and contributor-submitted contact information. This data is used to maintain your public author profile on Woofd.com, attribute content to you appropriately, communicate with you about your contributions, and promote Woofd® and its contributors across our platforms and social ecosystem.
Your Contributor profile data — including your name, bio, social links, and profile image — may be displayed publicly on Woofd.com and referenced in Woofd® promotional materials. We will not share your private contact information (such as your email address) with third parties without your consent. You may request the removal or update of your contributor profile data at any time by contacting us through the Contact page. Please note that content you have published on the site may remain live after your profile is removed, as outlined in the Intellectual Property License section above.
By submitting content or maintaining a Contributor profile, you acknowledge and agree that your provided data—including biographical information, writing samples, voice/tone descriptors, and professional metadata—may be processed by internal artificial intelligence systems. These tools are used exclusively by our editorial team to calibrate internal “voice models” that assist in minimal content editing, stylistic consistency checks, and the generation of platform-aligned metadata. Our brand’s identity is our fundamental means of follower and consumer recognition and symbolizes the brand’s differentiation from competitors. By using the Woofd® trademark, in whole or in part, you are acknowledging that Woofd® is the sole owner of the trademark and brand.
By associating, promoting, marketing, volunteering, or contributing to woofd.com, you are agreeing to not interfere with Woofd®’s rights in the trademark, including challenging woofd.com’s use, registration of, or application to register such trademark, alone or in combination with other words, anywhere in the world, and that you will not harm, misuse, or bring into disrepute any Woofd® trademark. The goodwill derived from using any part of a Woofd® trademark exclusively inures to the benefit of and belongs to woofd.com.
